The Perfect Matcha Latte

In review of 2018, I realized I spent an offensive amount of cash on matcha lattes every week (correction: Everyday). So it felt right to have a blow out on ingredients instead so that I can maintain this delightful habit but this time - from the comfort of my tiny, dark NYC apartment. This way I can infuse my favorite morning ritual with more goodies like superfood mushrooms + good fats. I took the liberty to write down the method + ingredients so that if you feel so called, you too may enjoy a nutritious boost + a fuller wallet, all from the comfort of your own abode.

Matcha green tea uses the entire tea leaf unlike regular green tea, this is what gives it that vibrant green color. Matcha’s most attractive quality is it’s high volume of the amino acid L-thanine, which is famous for it’s ability to relax the mind + body while simultaneously enhancing our capacity to focus + concentrate more effectively.
L-theanine increases serotonin, dopamine, GABA + glycine levels (all feel-good transmitters in the brain) so not only does this beverage literally stir happiness but it also contains high amounts of antioxidants and therefore aids in preventing inflammation, and fighting free radicals (toxins) in the body.

+ 1.5 Cups Califia Farms Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
+ 1 Scoop Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen Powder
+ 1/2 Tsp Sunpotion Ashwagandha Powder
+ 1/2 Tsp Moon Juice Reishi Powder
+ 1 Heaped Tsp Fourth and Heart Vanilla Bean Ghee

+ Warm the milk up in a saucer on the stove (high for about 2 mins)
+ Pour all contents into a high speed blender
+ Blend for < 1 min
+ Serve immediately
