Nothing Worth Having Comes Easy

We’ve all heard this delivered to us in these words or similar.  Usually at times when we’ve felt depleted and usually from the mouth of someone who has been in our shoes before we have. At the time it’s not the most comforting thing to hear but then in hindsight it’s actually such a wise expression.

It’s true – absolutely NOTHING worth having comes easy. It can be applied to so many aspects of life. From the first pair of jeans you slaved away for; working for $5.65/hour in your local café to the college degree you spent many a late nights and early starts to finally add to your toolkit of achievements.

Good things generally take time and the same theory applies to our health and wellbeing.  If you are suffering from adult acne or similar skin issues – there simply is no overnight acne treatment that can heal your skin woes, but with discipline, persistence and an open mind – the journey can be one that can teach you a lot not just about your skin but about yourself.

It may be required that in order to treat your acne; you partake in an elimination diet, a new eating plan altogether or begin consuming supplements/skin tonics. These all take time to play out in the body in the form of results.  So when it comes to the process – assume it will take some hard work.

This is the beauty of it all though – because one day you will reach a point and you will no longer have adult acne, and you will look back and see that your dedication and persistence paid off. My bet is that you learnt a thing or two about yourself along the way as well.

When you question the dietary shifts, the alcohol avoidance or whatever it may be that brings you to a point of ‘WHY’?  Remember why you started in the first place. Remember that you are beautiful no matter what is going on with your skin and remember that it is all happening for a reason so get really quiet and listen and observe and keep going on the path to healing, the path to discovering and then take the lessons and let them shape you.

Nobody said it was going to be easy. But it will be worth it.
